Luncheons will be held at the Maggiano's Little Italy, 1201 Filbert Street. The executive committee meeting precedes each luncheon at 11 a.m. Pre-meeting refreshments are served at 11:50 a.m., and the meeting and buffet luncheon begin at noon. Please make reservations by Friday, April 16, 12:00 noon to be included in our reservation with the restaurant. Please send an email to agaphiladelphia@comcast.net for late reservations or to cancel reservations (remember - we pay even if you don't make it!).
To make a reservation for the next luncheon, please submit the brief form below. $15 for members and $20 for non- members will be collected at the door. First-time attendee new members are free. If you cannot make your reservation on-line, please send an email to agaphiladelphia@comcast.net.
The Philadelphia Chapter will award one $1,500 scholarship to a high school senior/college student who is sponsored by a Philadelphia Chapter member "in good standing." The member does not have to be a parent of the student. You must be a student member for at least a year to apply as a student member.
Scholarship candidates wishing to apply should meet the following criteria:
1. The student can be enrolled in any major.
2. The student must be a freshman, sophomore, junior or a senior undergraduate for the upcoming academic year.
3. The scholarship must be used for college tuition only (no room/board, books, fees, etc.).
4. The student must be classified as a full-time student as determined by the college or university regulations.
5. The student’s current GPA must be, at a minimum, 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
6. The application package must include a certified high school (for current high school seniors) or college (for current Freshmen, Sophomore and Senior undergraduates) transcript, and the name, membership number and phone number or email address of the sponsoring Chapter member.
7. The student must submit evidence of at least one year’s participation in a community service activity.
8. The student must submit an essay describing the "Benefits of a Public Service Career."
DEADLINE: All materials must be received by April 1, 2010.

This year's tax seminar will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009, just in time to earn 8 Tax CPE credits before the year end. Once again, the seminar will be FREE to members and only $75 for non-members. This year's speakers will once again be Rich Furlong from the IRS and Joan Trump, CPA, how will speak on the following topics:

The seminar will be held at the Wanamaker Building, Regional Training Facility, Room 509. The session will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 4:30 PM.
